Girru, formerly Agent Player, has been open source on GitHub since May 2025. With it we are building an Agent OS: the foundation that lets AI agents collaborate, keep context and carry work from a request to a result you can review.
A local coordinator takes requests, selects the relevant context, applies permissions and filtering rules and hands work to agents organised into departments with their own roles. Local models run alongside connected providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.
Agents reach users through Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, Slack, email and web chat. A shared project memory with clear access boundaries saves explaining the same knowledge to every assistant again. Dpro builds the architecture, backend, extension system and security model.
